Global Warming Is Real The Skeptics Now Say

by Editor

Climate change skeptics worldwide are starting to have a change of their own, according to the latest reports. Many scientists who had previously refuted man made global warming have now come to the realisation, through extensive research, that climate change is real and in fact is worse than originally predicted.

The latest study carried out by the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Project has revealed an average temperature increase of 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit in the last 50 years.

“The decadal land-surface average temperature using a 10-year moving average of surface temperatures over land. Anomalies are relative to the Jan 1950 – December 1979 mean. The grey band indicates 95% statistical and spatial uncertainty interval.” A Koch-funded reanalysis of 1.6 billion temperature reports finds that “essentially all of this increase results from the human emission of greenhouse gases.”

The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Study (BEST) is poised to release its findings next week on the cause of recent global warming.

UPDATE (9 pm): A NY Times op-ed by Richard Muller, BEST’s Founder and Scientific Director, has been published, “The Conversion of a Climate-Change Skeptic.”

The research also looked for solar activity footprints to ascertain whether or not previous global warming and cooling patterns where caused by the sun. Those footprints are absent.

New evidence raises the bar.

The scientists are saying that the research shouldn’t end skepticism: but instead should raise the proverbial bar.

Carbon dioxide along with methane continue to be the largest contributor to greenhouse gases. The increase in both of these gases can be directly attributed to man made global warming.

Although the study reveals worse than expected results, we continue to finance and develop green house emitting fuels and industries.

The writing is on the wall. It is time to change.
